morning people,just done a couple of hours leafleting in a quite affluent area ,looked promising gutters full of leaves etc but i did notice a potential problem, a lot of em had steep roofs with dormas, the gutters of the dormas run at 90 degrees from the normal gutter and looked really awkward to get into,just wondered if you had any tips for a newby...cheers

The first time I saw these I was dreading them. But in actual fact they aren't hard at all once you get going. Stand at a point as close as possible to the house wall where you can see the entire length of the 90 degree edge of the dorma (left or right) and then work gently from front to back. If you're doing a 2 storey right hand side then you'll probably be standing about 3 yards to the right of it. If there are two or three dormas I prefer to do all the right hand sides (say) first and then do all the left hand sides and the fronts rather than keep switching from left to right.

Quite often there are no downpipes and therefore no end-caps on these as they run straight out onto the roof so don't push the pole too quickly to the back of the run expecting the end-cap to stop it because it won't    (You shouldn't do this anyway but sometimes when you've got a lean on the pole it's tempting.)
