Pumps PPM and problems
« on: September 21, 2011, 10:00:01 pm »
I need some help please, and I don't know who to ask. After moving from Stroud where I had recently bought a van and system from a guy who new very little about it.  He had hadit for 4 years and never changed the RO membrane, but I was still able to get with new filters and resin 0ppm.  I moved to Malvern and although the water jumped from 120ppm to 345ppm I was still able to get 1ppm after filtering.  Then over night it shot up to 60ppm. I changed filters and resin, but no change. Before I changed the RO membrane I seeked help from a large local cleaning company.  They found alot of algae in the tank.  I hosed all this down and thought job done.  I got home and excitedly filled the tank, still 60, gutted.   What else could it be?  To make matters worse my pump broke and I had a large hotel to clean the next day. I did this by hand which took all day while I waited for th epump to arrive.  After fitting th enew pump I can only seem to get air passing through the hose.  The pressure is building up as I can feel it if I release one of the connectors. Is the pump broken or am I missing something.  If anybody has experinced a similar problem and can help, please get in touch juddley2000@btinternet.com.  Thanks in Advance, Simon
