Calling Gloria Users!
« on: September 28, 2011, 12:00:56 am »
I bought this the other night http://www.cheapmowers.com/acatalog/Gloria__Heavy_Duty_Sprayer__5L_Type_405_T.html

Waiting on its arrival.

Does anyone know if the wand is inter changable? I would like to replace the wand with a smaller sprayer for upholstery.

thanks
tony

The lance screws on to the trigger assembly.  The jet fixes on a nut assembly, which in turn screws on to the end of the lance.

For upholstery you simply remove the lance from the system and the nut assembly screws straight on to the trigger assembly ;)

Thanks

So I take it there's no quick connect on the wand/hose? Sorry, thats what i ment lol I already have the upholstery tool with a quick connect on it.

Suppose wouldn't be too hard to intergrate one on there.

Craftex used to do a kit or these to add on a paint spraying gun for upholstery protection.

Prochem also have something similar. No catalogues to hand to check at the mo.

My Gloria arrived today! Das Original!!  ;D Looks like a solid bit of kit! Much more robust than the pish that I've used so far!

Going to start running it tomorrow but looks like a good investment so far.

Now just need to work out how to intergrate this "upholstery pistol"!

Did you not visit GPS Sprayers site first.

They have a cheaper version of the Stainless Steel Gloria for £160 ish called Steel Master Range. All the Gloria Parts fit it too!

Gloria are probably pretty much the best sprayer on the market but with possibly the worst lance ever. Every lance I`ve had looks like a corkscrew within a few months. Why they dont supply them with a stainless steel one instead is beyond me!

£115 for the fabric gun????
The IK9 sprayer comes with a separate fabric gun
very similar to that one for only £95 all in.
Where do they get their prices from?

Exactly! Having used the Gloria for three days now I can see what all the fuss is about! They definately are a different legue!

I've had two IK9's and the last one i had also came with the fabric gun, £95 all in like John said. The sprayer and lance was rubbish IMO. The Plunger broke at the handle, the hose tore small holes at the lance end loads of times while sprayer! (nightmare!) and the lance was leaky and the handle was made from brass making spraying hpt liquids impossible without wrapping the handle with something.

BUT... the sprayer did come with a very nifty upholstery gun. The exact same one thats on that link that sell for £115!! The only problem is that it has a quick connect fitted and I cant attach it to the Gloria!

Does anyone know where I can get a connector that will fit the upholstery pistol??

I think I am going to try Pritek to see if they have any connectors that will fit.

I dont want to spend £115 when all i need is a £10 (top's) connector!

I've still got 2 with not a problem.
Only thing you've got to watch is on
upstroke don't let the plunger hit the
top.
Lance only leaks if the nozzle has worked loose
doesn't leak from the QC either.
The handle is made from plastic not brass and
the lance itself is a solid bit of kit.

funny how defensive people get ... I have had to trim hose on Ik9  on numerous occasions.... fittings have become lose esp extension for lance - dont get same prob with gloria apart from the lance distorts lol  ;D ;D
