Paul I had that recently, when I had tp cancel a holiday. I wasnt entitled to the refund I thought I was entitled to. I thought I was entitled to 50% refund of the price of the holiday.
However, on requesting my funds I was told I was entitled to a 50% refund on the 'price' of the holiday. I had a conversation/discussion/arguement with someone in the travel agents office about my refund and was eventually able to work out that 'price' meant the cost of the holiday to them, not the customer, which is irrelevant and misleading to say the least.
Oh! the cost of the holiday, stupid me! When they say cost they mean the price (sorry is that price or 'price') they have paid for the holiday prior to selling it on to the punter.
So if you ask your travel agent what the terms are regarding cancelling a holiday and they say 50 % or whatever percentage of the cost of the holiday its 50% of the cost to them, therefore not 50% of what you paid! Crooks!
