Hessian Blinds...HELP!!!
« on: October 26, 2005, 02:33:56 pm »
Hi guys

Did a conservatory clean (windows + Frames) but left a water mark on these blinds.

There are 6 of them and they all have it. Has anyone ever cleaned this type of blind. They are a thick, biege blind which I think are hessian with some kind of protective layer (film on them)

they think it might of penertrated right through but they want me to have a look and see if I can do it?

Any ideas???

Regards

If the blinds are water marked it is unlikely you will get it out although having said that in your situation I would still try by applying browning treatment and cleaning.I would want to take them down and off site to do this.

What makes you think they are hessian?

Do you know if they are Sanderson blinds?

There are very few cleaners who will attempt cleaning of blinds as the results are often poor and it easy to damage them with re-hanging often a problem, making the effort just not worth while.

The protective layer your refer to is probably a heat reflection film against strong sunlight.

Hi Martin,

I think that is is best to leave the stain removal to the people that are specialist blind cleaners.

I would surgest that you look up a company that does ultra sonic blind cleaning in your area.

Are you sure it is Hessian (Jute) and not unbleached linen?
