Detergent or non Detergent
« on: December 06, 2007, 05:55:35 pm »
Hi all,

We all know (or most of us do) know the difference between the likes of detergent and non detergent based chemicals.  There has been alot of hype over the past couple of years regarding MS and similar.  Is the likes of MS & M Power all they are cracked up to be?????  M Power tends to be very hit n miss, MS are good but can struggle on heavy soil.
I cant get my head around it when some carpet cleaners say that they are getting the job done quicker with non detergent based chemicals?  all this agitation and dwell time is taking up time so i dont know how they are working out their times.

What do you lot use & why?

Richie.

Like you say, hit and miss. I often use a M/S as a prespray before a detergent rinse. This solves the problem of just using a M/S prespray, then hitting some hard soiled area, when rinsing off with just water.

Agree, I'd like to use MS on all jobs but on some you just cant. I still agitate and dwell on the most powerful of detergents as this means yo can use less and eradicate most of the problems associated with using them
