Had my clx 18 for 8 months and no problems at all .... all i had to do was replace a butt cap through wear a month ago, so i'd suggest buying a spare

ive got a 22ft clx but to be honest its just kept as an emergency pole now ive got a 25ft SLX.if you have the money id go for an SLX.

the clx is a good budget pole but its too bendy at full stretch for me as ive a lot of deep connys/flat roofs to reach over.

you can really get a better scrub on the glass at full extend with the slx IMO.
price higher/work harder!

We use clx27's as everyday poles. They are plenty light enough to use all day long, and have that little bit of extra length to get over conservatories and extensions.

22 would be too short for 3 storey house, and we have loads of them, and extended/conservatories.

Regarding the clamp issue, I haven't owned a pole yet that hasn't required a clamp re-glueing, so to single out Gardiners poles as having the issues is not justified.

This brings me back to a point that has bothered me since starting...NOTHING is up to the job, NOTHING. We pay Snap-On money for Halfords tools.

thanks for all the reply's  lads i have ordered a 22 clx today after about 6 phone calls trying to get though just got to wait now for 2 weeks hope me other one dose not snap and i do agree with what concept said. its a shame all the suppliers don't have the same customer service as what we do just think off the money they would earn if they did.
