Pub Axminster

Hi all,

Have been asked to clean a grotty pub axminster carpet, and its the first axminster i have done. Its really bad, and the seams are split in places? I was going to vacuum, then powerburst prespray, then agitate with my numatic then extract with rotaovac linked to my airflex turbo. Any other tips please or should i do it totally different? i know you have to be careful with axminsters due to shrinkage so bit weary, esp as there is damage to some seams?

Many thanks

Clarify risks with customer and get a disclaimer signed. You can tack the carpet down with carpet tacks to help minimise shrinkage. Also use chemicals at correct strength and pleny of dry passes and blowers on if you have them.

Make sure you get paid on the way out (they have a tendency of changing ownership before invoice arrives) :o

Put some citra boost in the Powerburst, plenty vaccum passes and keep moisture to a minimum,
Be careful on dodgy seams etc
