« on: August 24, 2011, 09:50:32 pm »
hi guys - is this possible is there a steam system with long enough lance to do fascias and soffitts? just thought it might be easier on the awkward ones with dormers and returns etc.

Fascias & soffits are there to protect the roof timbers from the elements - wouldn't be ideal to be blasting them with high presure water - alot of the vents are pretty delicate too.

I find a bit of tfr and my wfp does the trick for domestic fascias, soffits & guttering.

There are however pressure washing lances up to 24' - good for cleaning walls, and roofs - think they have a maximum temperature lower than a steam cleaner - and i'd be carefull not to use a pencil jet

but the steam cleaner im looking at evaporates within a couple of 3 inches form the exit point

the reason im interested is that there are times when im having to hold a 30 ft pole out at the most awkward angles to get to everything and it literally kills the arms and back and sometimes for the price level doenst compensate for that strain.

just coz we all got a long pole doesnt mean were super human and can make contact with every height and acute angle.
