Did some minging sofas today that in the main came up well and the client was very happy with - I told her I would do my best but couldn't guarantee all marks would come out.

Some of the cushions had several finger marks that looked like grease and these just wouldn't come out.

I cleaned with Ultrapac and got tons of soiling out but the marks remained.I then tried Fab Restorer,Citrus Gel,Eco POG from solutions,Solvent spotter and even some Citraboost, in the end I had the best results with some meths but they were still noticable.

Am I expecting too much?

Does anyone have any tips please.

There's nothing wrong with expecting too much from yourself, better that than a half hearted attempt with just a mild detergent.
What doesn't help is if the customer can't tell you exactly what caused the mark because your then left with just trying all and sundry, when if you'd put the right thing on it straight away then it might have come out.
Don't forget we're not majicians! Or to put it another way how could a doctor decide what medicines you need if all you say to him is "I don't feel well."
