Eco-flow digital setup question
« on: July 13, 2011, 09:58:02 pm »
I have two eco-flow regulators, digital.

One of them, when I detach the hose that rund from port to reel, sits comfortably displaying PS without a murmur.  I've often left it a weekend (by mistake) with the van alarm on and not had a problem.

The other shows DE and cycles the pump constantly.

Does anyone know how I set up pump 2 to behave like pump 1?

On a more general note, does anyome have (or have a link to) a manual for the controllers so I can get the overall setup right?

Thanks,

Vin

PS means pressure switch has activated, DE means dead end detected. My controllers do the same because the one that flashes DE has a pressure switch that needs a higher pressure to activate. DE is normal that's how they work if you leave it long enough it will build up enough pressure in to pipes to activate the pressure switch and then it will flash PS.

Oh, it won't ever flash PS if you don't have a pressure switch on the pump.

Also are they both the same make of pump?

Yes, both identical, with identical setups and connections.

Yes, both set the same; very perplexed!

Have a look at the pressure switch on the pump, there shoul be an adjustment screw, let pressure build forva few minutes and then turn it until the readout says PS, job done.

Hi Vin

I hope the manuals have helped you sort this out. As has been said already the pump that is displaying PS when switched off is not actually using the controller properly. This can be sorted by either tightening the screw on the pressure switch of the pump to make it less sensitive or the better solution is to turn down the calibration on the controller so that the controller senses the shut-off before the pressure switch.

With the other one that is cycling constantly the solution should be to lower the calibration setting so that it is more sensitive and does not 'try' the pressure so often.

Any problems drop me an email.
