IS THIS A PLAN.......
« on: June 30, 2011, 11:08:42 pm »
I'm sure this has been covered before but i would like to re-visit and hear your views.

Offer the customer the choice of 5 weekly at say £20 or 10 weekly at £30  etc.  This saves the customer money over the year but it means when I do a days clean at the higher rate my cost/effort vs profit ratio is well up by 50% for same amount of work.

I realise I would need to get more customers which isn't too much of a problem but I like the idea of more bucks for the same effort.

Unless I am missing something, it's a win-win situation.  My profitablity goes up for the same amount of work and the individual customer pays less per annum for their window cleaning.

I am already doing this for a small number of customers which seems to be working well.  It's great to be getting say £30 for a clean as against the previous £20.  And to be honest it doesn't really take a great deal more effort to clean at the extended period on regular cleans - not that I tell the customer that as they are still saving overall.

I would be interested to hear if anyone is already offering a similar service and how it's working out.

Retires to the bunker and awaits flak.........   ;D

I give a price for a 4 weekly interval, and add on 20% for an 8 weekly clean, works well for me.

It's a good plan, John, and it's something I've being doing with larger detached properties for a few years now.  I do a lot of properties at either every-two-or-three month intervals, all nicely priced work.

Just make sure you use your longer frequencies as a selling point.  Tell 'em many window cleaners still insist on cleaning every-four-weeks, however you prefer to offer a longer frequency at a slightly higher price to cover the time involved in cleaning the extra build up of grime...

I do 6 weekly.  If they want 12 weekly it's 50% more.  I've only been doing this very recently.
