Had one of those for my car,in honesty they were crap at the job they are designed for,so I dread to think what it would be like on something like carpet, got the cord for the bonnet caught up in the spindle, and it burnt the motor out, have since brought a very expensive multi speed polisher / sander 180mm ,but still wouldn't use it on carpets
What goes around comes around

Might also start to chuck the water or pre spray you have put down ie flying on the walls near the stairs etc mate..

Totally unsuitable!  Too fast and if you lean on it hard you'll probably burn it out.  Plus you haven't got the right attachments for carpets/upholstery.

Get yourself a Texatherm Minitex, or the Ashbys equivalent.

Or a good quality cordless drill (with handle) some microfibre pads and a velcro backed drill adapter.
Been using mine for about 6 months on stairs & upholstery.

Well it oscillates and not rotates so what has too fast got to do with it??
it would work just as well as a terry for wiping so what is the harm in giving it a go?

Ive got a similiar one but even on car I find pad cpmes pff, as I am ompatient I did not try very hard and put it back in shed.

I need to clean my stars so will give it a go, but as others have said could be too fast

Might try drill idea also

Why not experiment.

A decent pet hair remover with metal needles is the best for sock bits mate. Mark

I use it for LM cleaning stairs, and it works very very well, depending on what pre-spray you use, I generally use M power or Solutions HD with fusion clean or HD on the pad.
