Love it, meeting new and different people every day, a variety of jobs.
Doing a good job gives great satisfaction, which i find easier with my shiney TM !!

Often tempted to sell up the contract cleaning side of things, so as just me with no staffing problems. If only my area was more populated, might move to Chesire  ;D

Its drizzling on and off here Del.

:)

You can't do this sort of work if you don't love it

But can I be pedantic and say it's not a job, it's a profession ;)

I love what I do, even cleaning an oven has an incredible "Job Satisfaction" appeal.

The only part of my career I hate, is having to take phone calls from miserable, droning, penny pinching price shoppers, they drain my energy... >:(

I also get to meet some really nice people and sometimes the chat is so good, I end up taking twice as long to do the job ;D

PS, I didn't spot ANY spelling/grammar mistakes Derek.... Well done ;D

Why do people hate price shoppers?
We all do it.

I did vote for love it though........
I class it as a marmite business, sometimes you love it, sometimes you hate it.
As Colin said I just get fed up with the whinging timewasters, but hey ho you get them in all walks of life and when I am in the right mood for it I do have "fun" with them on the phone.

In 11 years of it I haven't lost the sense of satisfaction of walking away having done a great job and of course meeting all sorts of people from all walks of life :)

Apart from job satisfaction, meeting a variety of people, I can take time off as and when I please, no one to answer to, or tell me what to do.
My last job before going into this business was 9 years army.
This job is a breeze after 9 years of being at the military's beck and call, never having the right to say "no" and literally being just a number, used and abused. (that's how it was during my time, anyway).
This job, love it, I'm in charge.

nice little tip for your priceshoppers. see it as a challenge to converting them into value fopr money customers. some times i can't be bothered but other times i like a good challenge of converting them.

Enjoy the freedom it gives me to be with my family when i want rather than when someone else says, i also enjoy the job satisfaction, meeting interesting people and for the challenge of finding work and turning enquires into work.
Being in control of your own destiny is a wonderful thing :)

I guess there's 2 sides to it.
I enjoy the different people we meet and every job is different.
Yes we can take time off when 'we' see fit and work longer if we 'want' for the extra dosh.
On the other side are the actual hours we work when you start to calculate all those 'extra' hours spent during evenings and weekends looking through catologes, ordering kit, cleaning kit, vehicles, phone calls, paperwork etc which amount to far more than 40 hours per week.

But would I want to go back to being dictated to as to when I work, what I do, and when I can take my holidays.......NO
