« on: June 13, 2011, 01:50:13 pm »
Hi, i am thinking to buy a Rotovac 360i anyone have it? Is it worth the price?
I could't find any review in internet only f***g salesman talk. Before i pay for it i would like to know if is any good. I am looking for multi task system to clean:carpets, tile and grout, hard floor also floor polisher etc. I have ninja 135psi but not sure if this is "strong" enough.
Thank's for any advice.

Imo, 135 psi is abit on the low side for a 360i. They are very good machines though, well worth the money.

Have you been on You Tube - more then a few videos there from cleaners using them.

I do know that they will work at low pressure - according to the sale blurb a 135 psi machine will be ok.

"The Rotovac 360 does not require a special high pressure portable extractor to clean tile and grout. The Rotovac 360i Tile and Grout head uses a combination of rotary nylon cleaning brush bristles, spray jets and vacuum slots to thoroughly clean tile and grout. The Rotovac 360i works with any portable extractor - from a standard 100 psi portable, to the Scorpion XPS, Masterforce 1200 or the largest truck mount".

Almost without exception the Rotovac machines, design and engineering is WORLD CLASS - they are built to last from good quality components - the sort of thing we used to do in the Uk before our manufacturing base went tits up

BUT if you need spares they are expensive - I just got hit for 170 quid for a brass rotary union for a rotovac machine!

An owner advised me the 360i is great for carpet, but the tile and grout attachment a waste of time. Rotary and wet pickup or SX will achieve superior results on hard floors.

In all honesty Thomas I think you need an extraction machine with a bit more punch, to reap the full benefits of a 360i.

Acording to the blurb Rotovac give a portable owner cleaning power as good as a truck mount so perhaps mark you could sell your truckmount and bank the cash ;D ;D

Hi, thanks for respond. Is it true that higer presure give much much better results?
I thought that the chemicals do most of the work /on carpets/ What is the save presure? 200?500? Someone told me that gadgets like steam mate, high presure pomp etc is waste of money and is a mit created by machines manufactures who want to sell expensive toys to well earning traders.

I don't know what to think about it / only started 3 years ago/ and cleaning of carpets is only one of services we do. The end of tenancy cleaning is our main service thatwhy i didn't go to mead with high presure. When i saw Rotovac i thought this might be good for me as could use with my ninja and also clean tiles and hard floor. But now i am confused ???
Ashby's asked 400GBP for upgrade to 400psi

Ian I wasn't criticizing Colins machine just thought a high powered porty with a pump with a good flow rate would be better suited.

The manufacturers would say the machines OK with any porty wouldn't they?

That being said was talking to a cleaner from Scotland a while back whose been cleaning for years with a single vac porty and an RX20. Getting good results and plenty of repeats.
