Is it Tenon recovery? They act harsh and try to scare you. Stand strong. All those letters that they will bankrupt you in 3 days etc are just a standard, scaremainering letter they send out. Truth is, it would cost them alot more to take you to court. Ignore them, go back to Yell and deal with them direct.

Tony try looking on here and ask the questions, it is a fantastic resource and the people who offer advice have usually been there before and help you with practical advice and their own experience.

you may have to look around a while, but it is a fascinating place with lots of help.

When you email the chief exec tell them you have been posting on this forum which has over 25k members I believe.
I had nothing but bother with these clowns for years. Funny how its a different rep every year because they are crap to work for probably. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. Also they never clean their Yell.com database and there are companies on there who haven't paid for years. I think they just either leave them on or add companies to boost their presence.

How right you are John....... when we used to advertise with them, there was a different rep each time.... Only once was there a "local" bloke and he is now an estate agent. Have spoken to him as we clean his carpets for him (so yes yell did get us work, just not in the way we expected...lol) and he said that working for yell, nearly put him in an early grave.........must be bad if he chose to go into estate agency instead!!!!! ::)

Hi Guys

It's a company which was the big kid on the block and still retains the bullying ethos BUT it's now the little kid in the corner.

Share price in Feb 2007 was £6, now £0.06, yes 6 p.

Cheers

First priority is to formally let yell know that you are disputing the debt. Then inform the collection agency know that it is in dispute. They can't chase a disputed debt.

Put a complaint in an e-mail and also tell them you are
sending a cc to the CEO to inform him of the shocking
state of affairs.

mike.pocock@yell.com

He's the CEO of yell and doing this may well get a better
reaction from the numpties at no customer service.
