But the trick with any of these products is just to put enough into a bucket of water to break the surface tension.(2 drops not 2 squirts!)
What happens in reality wether it be 1001, vanish, washing up liquid is that it goes on so strong that you'll need 50 gallons of water to flush it all back out again.
I remember going out to a job where a bottle of shower/bath gell stuff had leaked onto a carpet......4 hours I was there, water in, soap out, water in, soap out, clear the machine and start again, and again, and again.

We cleaned a carpet yesterday that an outgoing tenant had tried to clean herself using a bissell,  omg what a mess it was. Apart from anything else it was absolutely soaking wet.
She was frantic she was going to lose her deposit.
If i knew how to upload a picture id show you.

Fairy liquid might clean a carpet but modern carpet cleaning chemicals are designed to stop the carpet rapidly resoiling because there is some chemical left from the cleaning process.

My point is if people want to clean their carpets with fairy liquid good luck to them, theres going to be a lot of carpets out there that will require cleaning by professional carpet cleaners.

If you clean carpets for a living you might need to stock up on defoamer.

I myself am quite happy about people using these types of product am am sure that if people were using things that did not turn spills into black marks I would be doing a lot less work............. The reason that we all see so much of vanish etc in use is because it is causing the soiling that we are being called out to clean up.
