My stair wand was leaking from a connector a while back, so I changed the trigger assembly. Used it for the first time yesterday, fine at first - but then the jets wouldn't shut off. They weren't spraying at full power, but enough to be putting down too much liquid, not allowing dry strokes. Any ideas what this could be? The button on the trigger wasn't being pressed at all. Is it likely to be a knackered jet(s)?

one of the o rings on the plunger has been dislodged, it is  stopping its self reseating and allowing solution to continuously flow.

undo the big nut which holds the trigger plunger then pop it out then check and replace the offending o ring

or the trigger spring has snapped or become less strong so is not pushing the plunger closed

Thanks for the swift reply Mike, looks like you were right. The biggest O ring had dislodged. As I tried to remove it, its twisted and broken in two. Any ideas where I can source a new O ring without having to get another trigger assembly? Thanks again

Sometines you can get an o ring in a local hardware or diy shop or even in your local car repair workshop or from a supplier of parts to garages etc.

hydrolic hose repairers stock a box of different size o rings about 10 different sizes 10 of each.

just to add they come in different 'strengths' I went through a stage of using 1 or 2 a week in my CFR tool then I told my local hydraulic guy who ordered me 20 less flexible more durable o rings which were a git to get on, but I'm still using the same one 4 months on

1 or 2 a week?! Thats some going! I've just ordered the mixed set of 200 from eBay, suppose a good selection will come in useful sooner or later.
