Work maybe available
« on: May 24, 2011, 08:01:28 pm »
Hi,
I work for a national cleaning company, we have been asked to quote for cleaning and soft landscaping at 3 very big distribution centres and landscaping only at a forth.
We are going to take care of the daily cleaning but we are looking to sub out the external window cleaning and landscaping. External windows, frames and fascias are 2x annually and all landscaping is bi-monthly. These are big buildings, the biggest is around 500,000 sq ft, of that around 10-15% is glazing. Access is good and the vending machine coffee aint bad!

Now for the hard bit, the geography. One West Yorkshire, one Luton way, one Near Bristol and the other Surrey.

I am going to do site visits this week so will get a better idea of sizes.
Can anyone recommend a landscaping service? I wasnt expecting the contract to be bundled with landscaping, but thats life!

In a perfect world I would like to find 1 contractor but realistically I am aware that probably wont happen unless I approach another national.
If I get sizes can any of you give me an idea of price?

Hope to hear from you soon.

I would be interested in the external windows/frames/fascias at the Surrey site.  I would want to do a site visit though before quoting as measurements and/or photos don't always give a full picture.  Knowing what safety measures to put in place can only really be determined by being there IMO and those measures can sometimes take time to implement.
Not trying to teach you how to suck eggs but just saying it the way I've found it  :) .

Swap @ for AT.  If interested, please send an email.

Sir,
One of the guys who replied to me has been out today doing site visits and has promised to put together a quote by friday, ready for me to submit with the rest.

Just to let you know that some of us are genuine.
If I ever get anything like this I will post it on here first.

Regards
Paul

Work now being priced up by two replies.

Sorry for not getting back to all, made a mistake of advertising for f/t mobile cleaners in 3 locations across East Anglia and put my number on jobcenter.
My phone has not stopped for days. Proper silly.
