Powerflite completly dead any ideas????
« on: May 19, 2011, 09:15:14 pm »
On a job this evening, done the usual prespray etc. Went to rinse and my unreliable Powrflite pfx  1350 dead, dead as a doornail. Turned on pump 1 ok turned on pump 2 ok and then when I turned on the pump it cut out, nada. I had a backup machine thank god but guess what the flipping pump didn't work, I could pee harder. Any ideas why the machine cut out. This is not the first time it's happened, is there a fuse inside the machine that might have gone or something. Had the machine full of water cos there was no water on the job, could water have caused it to trip because I have to lie it down in order to get it into the van. Very very annoying.

Could be a blown fuse or water got to the electrics, if that is all then easily remedied. I would be a bit concerned as the pump may be in need of attention. Does it trip the sockets in the house when you turn on the pump.

No fintan, doesn't trip fuses but has stopped working before on job. When you say blown fuse do you mean in the machine? Any ideas where that might be, checked manual last night couldn't see any fuse inside. I see you you have a jag on order ordered one for myself on Monday as well could do with it now, three weeks wait  :'(

I dont even know if the Powrflite has any internal fuses. It's just that I had a Alltec machine which had a fuse behind the switch panel which blew on a few occasions. Could it be a loose connection somewhere.
However you will have no more trouble for a while when your new 11 KY Jaguar arrives
