trucky is  misbehaving ;D
anyone know how long it should take to fill a bucket up from a twin jet 002 wand at 300psi. my truckies eating water at the mo so need to find out why. start with the tools and work my way back. fact is i'm struggling to clean a 3 bed semi with 60 gallons at 200psi and that can't be right, in fact when i first started out i could clean 2 houses with more psi before refilling so somethings not right.

ps.. my drymaster is fine so it must be my wands and jets surely.

more likely a bypass sticking.

I'd agree with John's assumption, I had that on my 421 just replaced the valve BUT it could be an electrical fault, get your £100 out and call HM ;D

your probably right john, especially as sometimes when doing stairs i get cold water occasionally.

anyone on here explain the bypass system to me so i can get an understanding of it, will help me trace the part i need.

i know it bypasses the heat exchanger but still doesn't explain why i'm using extra water

if you are using more  water then you are dumping water into your wastetank as you work.

your machine usually dumps water to regulate the heat. Your machine thinks the water returning into your waterbox is too hot and might damage the pump so diverts it into your wastetank. This is done with a heat sensitive valve/solenoid,

usaully this happens if you put your wand down or use a handtool with a small jet then the water stands  in the heat exchanger and becomes too hot

your machine thinks the water is too hot.... so is dumping

look into your waste tank and watch the where the machine dumps and see if it is dumping as a quick fix you could divert the dump into your fresh tank. as long as you have chemical injection after the dump valve or you will need to just use a freashwater rinse

I had this happen to me as Mike says.
I wasnt using enough water and it was dumping due to excessive heat, the wands were also producing cold water.

Now I run the wand outside before each job until its really hot, usually takes 3 or so minutes.
