I've got a 56 plate 1.3 diesel multijet doblo - had it from new with a 400L on board. The side doors are really useful.

It is plenty fast/powerful enough and returns 40/50 mpg according to its computer. Your 1.9 should really fly and has extra grunt. (Watch out for van speed limits on it though!)
It's a game of three halves!

Is that miles per gallon when the van is fully loaded?

WHAT ARE THE VAN SPEED LIMITS? im not too worried at the mo ,as my peugeot partner is a slow old crate and it would almost be a compliment to get a speeding ticket

but when i replace it i want something more normal ,a Doblo car went sailing past me tother day , it must have been doing 80 odd , easy . looked a bit high to slide ladders on and off maybe

I've got an '07 1.3 multijet, it was bought in a rush & wasn't my first choice BUT I can say it's the best van I've had by far!

400ltr tank no problem, fit both my 25ft slx & 48ft Xtreme in the back with a bulkhead too.

That 1250cc turbo D engine is a real cracker, had it over a year and it still amazes me when  the turbo kicks in!! ;D

50mpg fully loaded if you drive steady, 45mpg if you don't care. 2 sliding doors & loads of room in the back, really nice cab also. ;)

AS I WAS APPROACHING A SET OF LIGHTS BEHIND A TESCO DELIVERY VAN, THEY WENT RED SO I SWUNG INTO THE OUTSIDE LANE TO SKIN IT OFF THE LIGHTS.....FAIL!  :-[ HE KNEW THE GAME AND BURNT OFF LIKE IT HAD A TURBO!!! MY POOR LITTLE BELLE (BERLINGO)  :'(

Van speed limits - (non-car derived van and/or over 2000kg all up manufacturer's design weight)

Motorway 70
Nat spd lmt Dual Cway 60
                    Single Cway 50

Van speed limits (car derived van up to and including 2000kg all up mdw)

Same as a car

Here's the kicker:-

The Doblo 1.3 multijet 56 plate at 2000kg car derived is car speeds
The Doblo 1.9 multijet 56 plate at 2025kg car derived is van speeds
It's a game of three halves!
