The forum standard reply is, "Don't worry about the rain; I won't charge you extra for the free rinse." or words to that effect.

Personally i wouldn't clean windows in heavy rain. There is no point and i'd look like a fool - plus the customers don't like paying.

Light rain, drizzle and showers or you're asking for trouble. You'll struggle to do a decent job in heavy rain.

Same here. There are at least 26 days in an average month to work on, if you include Saturdays. That should be enough to get through an naverage round (250 to 350 custies) I think. Depends on the make up of your round I suppose.

I act stupid on here often enough without looking stupid while at work too.  ;D

nobody likes working in heavy rain, its uncomfortable and miserable.
If someone was to clean my windows in heavy persistent rain I'd question how good a job they were really doing and if they were rushing it. For that reason I dont think its on.

personally i dont see why you have to stop working in the rain ,some one on here said the other night that the rain off the roof was 3-30 ppm so rain that has not hit a roof must be as close to pure ,or am i wrong ???

you don't half talk rubbish, you can clean in heavy rain as long as it is safe, when it is coming in at 60mph maybe I will give it a miss, I did a job Thursday in a total downpour insides and out ;) they were perfectly clean when I was doing the insides

I was cleaning with 16ppm for 2 days waiting for resin to arrive. Great results!
Sod the rain, I just get out there and clean. If custys moan they go on the dump list. I tell every new custy that I work all weathers.

Stu, not being funny mate. In Scotland, you don't have much choice.

Simp.  I don't think there is a right or wrong answer, I'm just glad I'm never in the position to HAVE to work in heavy rain.

aye that is true ;D but honestly the results are clean windows rain or not, I would love to be in a position only to clean in nice weather but it isn't going to happen

PMSL, nice weather to you is rain falling down, instead of left to right  ;D I will work in light rain and showers if I want to and I need to get an area finished, but otherwise, glad I don't have your weather mate!! ;D
