slx butt cap replacement

has anybody done this? the original cap seems to be glued on? do i just cut down the side of it with a stanley and peel off?
WE CLEAN BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT WITH WATER FED POLE WHEN WORKING AT HEIGHT.

yes mate just cut down the side a peel off that's what i did

Dave or anybody for that matter did you re-glue replacement butt cap?

No I just pushed it on. If it's not tight enough put a wrap or two of gaffer tape around the pole and push it onto that - or use the gaffer tape to hold the end cap in place.

Glue just makes it difficult to add or take away sections IMO.
It's a game of three halves!
