Guess the less water used is going to appeal to a lot..

It already does, it's called low moisture and comes in the form of pad cleaning.
Don't beat yourselves up over this, their just re-inventing the wheel.

Its an homage, basicly a re-write of Chem-Dry copy - all the scare stuff about mould and mildew - ohhh Im so scared - and just think of the 10 carpets I left clean and damp last week that have all gone mouldy and mildewy - those people must be so upset - they will be callling me soon - oh hang on - actually I'VE NEVER HAD A CALL BACK FOR MOULD AND MILDEW RIDDEN CARPETS

Strangely enough it is rare that US companies see overseas markets as being ripe - they have such a huge domestic market they can play with they often figure what the hell, why bother - for them overseas is Puerto Rico or Canada! In fact they are very insular people and ina way quite complacent (or ignorant about the rest of the world) it takes a big leap of imagination for them to go overseas (really overseas) to look for business - there are some glowing exceptions but the phrase Export or Die means nothing to them - they'd rather just die!

Its encapsulation using a contra rotating brush system. Carpets are sprayed then brushed. Simples but these guys have been on hundreds of tv stations pushing their message.

At a training course from cleansmart in feb, The trainer Mr Bolton.
Mentioned when chemdry started there marketing in the uk it was one of the best things that happened to the industry. In that it brought carpet cleaning into peoples minds And chemdrys prices led to other carpet cleaners could up there prices.  ;D And still be more competative.I think chemdry offer 3 rooms for £120. Think we could all do that in 1 to 2 hours. And get £80-£90. Depending on usual factors.

This all begs the question why a British supplier hasn't developed an Oxygen based system to sell to all and sundry just like all the other differing systems on the market. If the system were available to anyone then it woud take away a lot of the franchises 'uniqueness' in that they only offer that system.

It is not the system that makes these companies a success, it is the marketing.

Chem dry have made 4 fundamental changes in their system of cleaning , and many  primary chemical changes  in the last 20 years.
The corporate image and marketing has kept up with the times and stayed fresh ,

the method of cleaning is not in the top 5 factors in the success of franchissees.
I clean carpets
I dry Buildings

Just wondering if they have an Ozone machine injecting into the solution line. Think Amtech did a machine like this a while ago.

Yes you are right. Its still an option on the cascade walk behind machines for deodorising.
