Going thru insurance paperwork Monday night as needed to get quote for possibly a second van.
Wont say who broker is YET as not their fault (possibly) however they do need to sort out this problem.
Asked them to protect my no claims discount when I took out the policy which is shown on their demands and needs paperwork however closer inspection of the actual policy document shows its not protected.
So 2 pieces of paper 1 says it is and other says its not (didnt spot it at time as exact style of documents that Swintons my previous company use and that wasnt protected)
Calls the broker up the next day who tells me "yes you are correct we also have it showing as being protected" its a fault of the actual insurance company.
Not a probem I say just get them to re issue the policy with the NCB protected as I asked for, was quoted for and have paid for.
Now the fun began ... they called me back and said "sorry not possible to add it on as the computer wont change it mid policy as open to abuse / fraud etc ... however we can redate the policy and will only cost me £150" ...... so as it was a lady on the other end of the phone i really had to refrain from saying what I wanted to say .... obviously told her this was not acceptable their mistake not mine so they had to sort it out ... didnt care how they sort it just sort it.
That was Tuesday .... today is Thursday ... no call yet
