A mixed experience here.
As for the products/ delivery times etc., no problem.  However, I've never bought a pole from them - only other items.
I did get regular and fairly frequent telesales calls from them though - something that I  prefer to avoid.  I stopped this by asking them to remove from their calling list.  However, after a  while, they started texting instead.  So I contacted them and told them not to.  I did say it was OK to send me mail through the post though, but not to phone or text.
*Even then someone phoned me again a few months later.*  However, I did ask them again not to and they haven't done so since.  It just took a while to get there.

* I think that final call was a genuine glitch as I understand that the person was new in the office*.  No problem these things happen.

Sales (or survey) calls can be quite time consuming.  Although each company may not take up much time, it's a pain when I am trying to get on with my work.  Also, it can cost me money to receive them as my landline is often on divert to my mobile.

I only ever buy poles from Brodex, never bought an 'off the peg' system from anyone as it's so simple to assemble your own from the component parts, and so much cheaper.

I've still got the alloy Prolong I bought several years ago, as good as new up to the day I stopped cleaning windows.

All my people have Hydra poles.  They are very robust, come in enough lengths for all heights, including ground floor, they are always on 'special offer' if you buy a few at a time and work out very cheap.  May not suit some of you perfectionists, but if you have to kit out employees/franchisees with poles to do the job and last more than a few months they are unbeatable.

OK so the clamps have a habit of coming loose but a careful application of Araldite makes a permanent repair.  None of the poles we have ever seem to run out of adjustment on the clamps, unlike glass and carbon where the poles wear to the point that the clamps won't close down far enough to grip them.

I don't know about poor customer relations, I've always had a good response from them.

Just thought I ought to put the 'satisfied customer' point of view.

There is a chart of weights for the carbon fibre poles.

Hi,  This is a brand new range of poles that we have been testing for around 8 months. All poles will be in stock very soon with a confirmed date to be put on the website next week.

The clamps on the Elite poles have been designed to be very strong and make it easy to extend and collapse. All the Elite range are made from 100% carbon fibre, very light and have good rigidity. We also do a Fibre glass E' range.

Also there will be a hire service for 40ft, 45ft and 50ft Hi-Modulus poles with all information soon to be available on the website.
