I bought the new Wagtail "Swoop" from WCW last week and can only sing it's praises...
Don't know how many of you have tried this tool but for those that haven't...

It's a one pass Squeegee and applicator and WOW! it just has to be THE must have squeegee for the traditional window cleaner.
It's lightweight and incredibly fast.
If you are an experienced window cleaner it is pretty easy to adapt to, kinda tricksy at times and you can easily "skip" patches on the glass and you have to watch out for greasy marks and so on as you can end out passing over these marks when you need to give them a bit of a scrub.

You also use WAYYYYY less water than with an applicator and squeegee...

The Wagtail flipper should also be in your bucket too.

These are tools that genuinely make a difference.....

I've actually twigged a...what shall we  say....a way of using a microfibre that has staggered me with how efficient it is and I now use this new tool/method on all internal glass...from georgian and leaded glass all the way up to large plate glass...uses barely any water/solution, no mess whatsoever...

You'd be a fool not to want to know the secret.....

But I'm keeping schtum on this one....hoping it isn't already out there as developing the tool itself is a sod 

Got another one in the pipeline too, though there is probably something out there that does this particular anyway.
This time it is a tool for separating stuck sections of modular poles...its a bit 'Heath Robertson' at the moment, but it separates any section without any fuss whatsoever.

All I've got to do is develop the darn'd things!!

Not tried the "swoop" but I converted to flippers 2 or three years ago & won't use anything else!

They are super fast, light, much easier & make a lot less mess. When you get good with them you can clean windows without the need to detail after.

glad to see you posting again ian.i trawled your backposts when researching before i went wfp and found your posts most interesting and informative.

never tried a wagtail although a used a swivelock unger squeegee for trad pole work for many years before i went wfp!

trad pole work is all but redundant for me now apart from the odd horizontal large skylight on a flat roof extension i clean.although i did use it when it was severely cold weather before xmas!(with no complaints!)

im about 20% trad now and happy with my mop and squeegee and im no slouch with them either!i suppose if you have a lot of shops and large plate glass windows slightly out of hand reach then the wagtail may be quicker?

Spent a while writing ridiculously long posts on the chat section of the forum and only hovered in the background over here...

The wagtail flipper is is bloody good, but the one pass is bloody awedome...truly.
I'm at least 80/90% WFP (can't use it inside though!)
The "swoop" ain't cheap but its worth it.

Been going 27 years now and I am forever trying new and different methods  and tools...but now is the first time I've hit on a couple of ideas of my own....

Time to hit the sack!

wagtail flipper is a must.Havn`t purchased a swoop so can`t comment on that.If its any improvement on the flipper il be investing in one soon.

The best tool I have for internal windows is called 'Wor Lass'.  Not that fast, whines a bit to start with, but once she's off, she is like one of those rabbits on a Duracell advert and doesn't stop.
