Merlin in van question
« on: March 28, 2011, 05:53:43 pm »
Does anybody use this system in the van, because if it works it would save a lot of time. You could just fill the tank from the tap, then filter as you use. The question would be 1) if it would be a bit sore on my 80psi pump, and 2) which order would you have it, i.e. tank>merlin>pump>hose, or tank>pump>merlin>hose.

I've never used a Merlin but,i read somewhere here as Merlin's waste water is more than other RO systems.

I don't think you will get much water to the pole  ???

Double 4040 system might do that...

Hi Bob

I have a merlin in my van. You need to purify the water before it goes into a tank. ie merlin>tank>pump>hose

my di is after the merlin. you ould also have it between the tank and the pump (incearsed chance of pulling air into the system and getting airlocks. i suppose you could put it after the pump but i like it my way

merlins use approx 4 parts waste to 1 part pure, so if you filled your tank up with tap water then purified it, you would only get 1/4 of a tanks worth of pure water.
