somethings gonna give soon got to start thinking about raising prices trouble is people are sick of every thing going up  (i know i am)  last thing they wanna hear is the windy putting his price up they start to think sod it i will do it myself save the money only lost a couple so far this year due to cut backs dont want to lose any more have many of you put prices up

ive put a few up here and there but ive chickened out of the price rises i wanted to make.ive had 4 sets of different window cleaners canvass large parts of my round this year already!!(not lost any though).

its  not too bad for me as all work is within an 8 mile area so ive not noticed the difference in my weekly fuel bill(usually £15-£20 a week)

i whack up my prices  ,usually shortly after buying diesel !    an old bird who was getting a true bargain  ,a fancy bungalow +conserv at 13 quid  i  increased to 16  last time and  on arrival this week she was outside in a trice ,accusing me of arriving erly .  "oh no,im actually a week late !" i say 

"NEVER!" She fumed back and then got a tad shirty about my increase

 but ive no sympathy for anybody with a flash  merc saloon and big hairy pooch ,even if her hubby drives a crummy old citroen

Can your van run veg oil?

i herd of this can be a hassle + not enough restraunts or take aways around here to get it from + then you have to filter it etc morrisons by me its been going up 1p a day for the last week

I'd check out some of the forums that specialize in bio fuels.  I'm more into LPG but know a few people that run Bio.  It also depends on your vehicle as some are better than others and can run a higher Bio %.  You right about getting oil to process yourself.

However, with the prices as high as they are at the moment even a trip to your local Indian wholesalers is worth a trip.  They tend to sell 10-20L veg oil and the prices are certainly a lot less than the pump prices.

Some people have reverted back to using heating oil as it's the same thing but around 67p per liter I think depending on the supplier.  But, that is illegal and you will get fined if caught, I hear the fine is £500 so think about it 

But before you get into it read up on it and check your van is suitable first, also check if your van is on lease or under warranty still as Bio might invalidate it.
