Floorcovering i mean cos that aint no carpet

Been to look at some of this today i told him i cant clean it. What can be done with it? First time ive come accross it and its bloody awfull.

coir; the coir fibres are strong and course, and made from the outer husks of coconuts. normally used in the small entrance matting. can be wet cleaned, although the easiest way is to take the mat outside and beat it.. strengths; good for hiding soil, strong-very hard wearing.. weaknesses; course sharp fibres. have cleaned in the past with hwe and skimmed with a bonnet, using fine line m/s....

iI would imagine it burns well!

Horrible stuff leave it be in my opinion.

I walked straight away, ive no interest in so much as vaccing it  just wanted some more knowledge on this floorcovering.

Bet it cost a fortune as well, theyd have been better off flinging a bundle of straw down cheaper anyway.

I did a coir rug recently, i was going to walk but thought i would try the envirodri sponges on it, the result was very good.

As with all the plant derived materials, ( seagrass, sisal, coir, ect.) I tell them "it's not wet cleanable, do not let anyone wet clean it it WILL shrink! It can be dry cleaned with dry compound but results are limited and this is a service I don't offer, however here's a number of someone that does"

Btw if your thinking but would it still shrink if it's well fitted on the grippers? Oh yes! They shrink with immense power they'll rip grippers clean up, you could sit an elephant each end would not stop it shrinking. There was tests done in the US and it was found they shrank with a force of over ten tonnes.
