Just go to the scrap yard mate and get a couple of old car batterys i got 2 for £20.

Been good as gold so far

how often do you charge them

I had a split charge relay fitted from engines battery, did'nt want to lug the battery up to my first floor flat every couple of days to charge it.
About 4 times a year I top it up with distilled water (if needed) and bench charge it overnight, just to be sure its tip top.
