Clean church stained glass windows with wfp?

I've been cleaning the annexe of a church for a couple of years now but have been asked if I can clean the actual stain glass windows of the church itself.Seems to me that wfp will do the job but just wondered if anybody had any experience and could offer some advice.

I've cleaned stain glass windows before but not on a church it was a house!
Just treat it the same as any other leaded window, some people prefer a softer flocked brush but I used a dual trim mono brush and it was fine.

Its very thin glass, or at least can be, and very expensive to replace if broken. I do some and my advice to you would be check your insurance covers you in the event of breakage, if not only clean them provided they will cover you on their insurance.

Thanks gents.yeah it makes good sense to check my insurance covers them.I do use a fairly soft brush and would be super cautious but can't be too careful in this instance I suppose.

Clean them on a Monday as any leaks would have dried by next Sunday.

I've only ever done one and it was a nightmare. The windows leaked. More water went through onto the inside than ran down the outside. I had to have the churchwarden bloke on the other side mopping up with microfibers.
We rolled a load of them up to catch the water and he replaced them as the started to leak and rang them out into a bucket.
Still, they got an inside wash for free!
And I have to say that the windows still look magnificent from inside and outside now six months on.
But I'll never do it again. Too much work for too little reward.
(Errr. I want my reward now, here on Earth.!!!!)

have been asked to do one still waiting on the committee to ok it
but was told that some of the glass is so old that it might have been stained with vegetable dyes and that the harshness of the water might discolour the glass
Imagine: cleaning it and the dye all running down the window
nice modern art lol
