Try Russell at Tile Doctor. he's at Carnforth nr the lakes and Morcombe(?). He only has 2 people per course, and i can'trecomend him highly enough.

thanks guys its more the cleaning than the restoration altho from shercos pics that does look handy to be able to do! i've been asked by several customers to clean their travertine floors and i haven't a clue! trouble is they want it done sooner rather than later and im struggling to find people who do a course this early in the year

Dunno where you are based. If you fancy a trip to Scotland I can do you a One to One course.

Jon,
Altec near Royston have one coming up in the next week or so. They are pushing somthing called Cheetah Pads.
Its a 2 day course and these pads are supposed to do evrything so its probably a must for someone who isnt too experienced. Especially on Travertine floors.

have to be honest im a bit sceptical on cheetah pads. they've had them across the pond for a little while and i dont think people are massivly impressed plus that course is twice the price of their normal one. i stand to be corrected but nine times out of ten things that claim to do everything dont tend to do anything that well, but thanks anyway murky appriciate the idea. im right on the south coast so scotland is a little far for me but thankyou for the offer

Royston is just off the M11, near Duxford, Cambs. Round the M25 and up a bit.
While you are taking a break from the course you can watch the Spitfires and Hurricanes doing a bit right above you.
I tend to agree about the pads I have seen them over there for a while and it seems funny that they have only just come over here. AND there was a email from Altec telling me that I would save £50 if I booked up for the course now rather than tomorrow.
Desperate or what.
