DI advice needed
« on: February 02, 2011, 09:35:45 am »
Hi all,

Just want a quick bit of advice with DI.   If i want to fill a 400L tank with pure, can i use a DI vessel connected directly to my outside tap, and what size would i need (assume it would be quite a large one)

Thanks

You can but it will depend on the water hardness in your area as to how long the resin will last.
Ideally you would want at least an 11 ltr DI Vessel, for regular use a 25 ltr vessel would be better.

As you live in Kent and it's a hard water area resin would'nt last you very long, ideally you need a RO unit, you could use just DI but it will cost you a fortune if your using 400 litres on a daily basis.

Ok cheers,

I already have an RO set-up with small vessel DI polisher installed at home.  This is for doing occasional work at a remote location where i would have to stay overnight.
