Just done my first 6 months and was expecting Jan and Feb to be quite, Jan was as I expected but the phones have gone mad since last week, fully booked till mid feb and even today booked 3 quotes. All in all February is shaping up to be my best month since I started, long may it last. ;D

any pressure washing equipment supplier will be able to fix your pump problem, T/M pumps are very commonly used in pressure washers.

not sure what the pump is, its the standard one for the boxer 421, i'd ask glyn but i doubt he'll have the seals and diaphrams and other bits i need, may try a power washer company though, worth a shot before i ship it off, cheers guys.

ps...sorry for hijacking the thread, not intended.

Fully booked till mid feb?  How many jobs a day are you doing  ???

I realise that fully booked for me might be half a days work for some (those with truck mounts ect) but also most of the jobs I do tend to be more than just one room, so usually around 3 plus.  I've also just taken on oven cleaning so some are for this.  So some are for a carpet job in the morning and an oven in the afternoon and some are for carpets and ovens at the same house.

If I finish early, say 3pm I go out and leaflet for a couple of hours before calling it a day.

Too early to say what February will be like but got some good bookings in for later on in the month.

Turnover up 52% on last year's (record breaking) January. Probably a freak January and next year it'll be down somewhat.

I wonder which is easier?

A new cc who starts from a very low base could find it easy to increase t/o dramatically. Eg if year 1 you did £100 in January then in year 2 you do £200 then a 100% increase sounds dramatic. It would be harder if year 1 t/o was say £3000 to go to £6000 in year 2.

But....

Longer established cc's will have a larger data base to tap into. So is it easier for more established cc's to get that magical 100% increase in turnover?

Discuss.

I don't think I could increase my turnover 100% on each month without ostracizing some of my customers with a big price hike, if you look through your diary from 2010 and you can find wholes of space at regular intervals then you can increase volume if can't then you increase prices until you get spaces.
