Chemspec Pile Lifter Vacuum
« on: January 30, 2011, 10:58:44 pm »
Just bought one of these from a cc on Ebay only to find that although he advertised it as full working order the vacuum was seized up - have taken it out and its a 116343-00 model Ametek Lamb. Dont ya just love it when people do that sort of thing. I may jsst name him and shame him...

Anyone know where I can get one of these vacuum motors

Secondly do they have to be earthed to the vacuum motor body as thie old one in the pilelifter seemd to be - does anyone know the Chemspec and have they got experience of replacing the vacuum motor

Any help, advice gratefully recieved

http://www.blowermotorsplus.com/Ametek_116343_00_Blower_Vacuum_Motor_4M902_p/116343-00.htm found this for you by searching in Google "116343-00 model Ametek Lamb"

Could not find any UK sites with them on but you can buy from US and pay shipping and import cost (VAT)

Failing that, ring Chemspec but will probably sting you bigtime.

Hard luck there Buckland. You can maybe try ringing around some (as many as you can find) suppliers of chemspec products (cleansmart, restormate etc) and see what they can do for you. As i said in another post, alot of suppliers wont list everything they stock or can get their hands on, on thier website.

If I am not mistaken, all of chemspec products including chems come straight from the US. There's no European plant, so which ever way you look at it your still going to be getting it from the US.

Does it have just one vac motor in there? Does it have to be the same exact part you repalce it with?

Tony and Monty - thanks guys very much apppreciated...

Yes I think Ive tracked down a direct replacement for the vac - PB-Vac in Darzet - hes ringing me back!! Hes quoting 99 quid inc vat - not bad if he can actually get one for me

Monty - I didnt find that one so ta very much - prob try to get it from here before going the import route.

As I have an old Prochem Steempro kicking around with a knacked vac I am going to get that replaced as well at the same time - imagine my surpeise when I opened it up to find the motor number 117196 had a -00 suffix which I read someplace else - Cleansmart? that this means its for dry use only! And I know its the original vac...

Vacuums4u can fit a replacement for the Steempro at 195 plus vat plus 30 to fit less 17.5% trade discount!! The more I look around at prices the more expensive they get - it appears Vac4U get theirs from Prochem

I always think Ill shop around for these items then have to rush and pay thro the nose. cest la viz!

Don't let him get away with it.....go through the ebay system and get a refund or payment for vac,
"So basically its a big vax!"
