Progressive Lenses

I have  just received my new specs from specsavers and they are the progressive lense type.
Up until now I have managed with single vision lenses.
Have had the new ones for a few days now and hate them due to the small amount of usable vision and having to tilt my head up to do squeegee work.
Just wondering if anyone else uses progressives and if they like them.

Hate them.  Go back to using a monocular.  Don't worry about looking like a toff.

Go back to them and explain you are not getting on with them.
It may be the frame is not adjusted properly and that effects your  visibilty thru the lens.
Depending on the type of progressive lenses used by them, it may be possible to change to another type more suited to  your requirements.
State clearly what specific requirements you have in relation to your job.
Don't let them fob you off with excuses and if not happy, ask for the Dispensing Optician, not just a salesperson.
After all " not fit for purpose may come in to the equation"

Give em more time, mine took a little while but wouldnt be without them now, havent got to fish about for my reading glasses anymore, Ive already got them on....Fantastic. The moving the head bit will come as second nature, was a bit odd to me too but try and persevere 8)

I went into the opticians the other day and said i need an eyetest and the bloke said you sure do mate, this is Halfords ;)

Seriously, I am considering buying such specs next timer I need to get something stronger as I get peed off changing from driving/normal use specs to reading specs at times.  TIP: If you need them for driving always carry a spare.
