good luck whatever you do. Im sure you know what your customers will and wont accept. I am 90 percent most of mine will be fine. And am more than Happy to lose the few that arent. But 2 quid once a month on a 8 quid house isnt gonna scare off that many on my round.

i wasnt going to put mine up but im working like a dog and suddenly thought W T F  and jacked all the sarcastic customers up  some by 3 or 4 ,5quid and they all took it and i felt so much better .one of em-the sour type,  tried to bargain me down but i told him i cant and because he tried to bargain i will jack his price even more nex year .

have a feeling im going to get bitter n twisted  with a few of the sour  customers this year , im past the point of trying to cheer them up  ;)

We started putting our prices up jan 4th and will have our rounds increased for the start of april.  When you need to increase them do it.  Don't wait don't fret about it!

Try upping the prices on  20% of your round,

then use this as rough example, a tester to see the reaction,

And if you are likely to lose anyone,.. then at least it wont be widespread across your round.

Trial run  ;)

I tend to put my prices up by areas over a few months because I'm frightened that everyone will cancel at the same time.

It never happens and I only tend to lose between 0 and 2 jobs per 100 accounts I increase the prices on (all numbers are approximates).

I think in the big scheme of things, 50p (I don't like to bother with 50ps) or £1.00 in every £10 you charge is nothing, every other year or so.

I put most of them up by £1 last Summer/Autumn - so I better leave it this year.  I did lose one as a directy result of it - one I expected to lose.  Also, I had a spate of cancellations over the following 3 months.  Hard to tell if the £1 was the reason.

with the price of fuel you need to put your prices up. most customers will understand just don't get greedy. I've put mine up £1 for every £10 (10%). No one has even questioned it, all i did was handed or posted a slip to each customer

As of 1/1/11 the price of your window clean will be £ 22.
We appologise for this price rise and hope you continue
to use AWCS for your window cleaning requirements

Worked a treat and I am nearly £200 better off
