Cleaning Wonderwand Jets
« on: January 16, 2011, 06:12:01 am »
The manual very kindly tells me how to take them out but then goes no further.

I was thinking about using a very fine sewing needle but this could be a bad idea  ???

Any tips from seasoned 'Wonderwanders' would be great.

Many thanks

Never had to clean them as such, just remove
them and give them a good blow. Occasionally
run a finger nail along the slot.

fuse wire always works for me, watch you don't damage the orifice with a needle causing an uneven spray pattern

If the jests are blocked I use the corner of a post it note and poke it through the slit, usually works and no risk of damage to nozzle  :)

Soak in boiling water, then poke with plastic bristle.

And it came with a manual?  Will be onto them tomorrow, as I didn’t get one! Must get round to putting a filter system on the cfr though I use soft water  ;)

if you need a manual to tell how to clean wand jets then pack it in...... you're beyond help ;) ;)

I find a quick solution is to take them off, using fuse wire push the obstruction into the jet, then get a trigger sprayer.... adjust it so it sprays a jet (rather than a mist) and fire in backward through the jet so it washes the obstruction out, then refit

anything thin like a strand of wire etc etc as mentioned will do the trick.
