Merlin setup? please
« on: January 10, 2011, 07:09:56 pm »
does anyone know if i got a merlin, could i simply attach it mid point to my filling hose.
i have good pressure on my tap and run a di only setup.

i dont understand how the merlin works thanks in advance..

im trying to get the tds of 103 down enough before it gets to the tank as my water gets polished on the way out and not on the way in.

cheers again.

Yes you could do that no problem. I would expect it to bring your TDS down to less than 10ppm. Only dowside if you are filling your van tank direct with it is that they are a little slow, but if thats not a issue for you then it will be fine.

Merlins require a high rate of pressure to operate efficiently, see here for details:

As you have a low input TDS, it may get it down to something reasonable like the previous poster mentioned, try it and see, but be warned you may need a booster pump, such as:

Hope this helps.
