I have a short wheel base transit van and at the moment only a 250ltr flat tank.
what is the cheaest way to strap it in...

if you have a solid bulkhead then you'll be ok using straps, just make sure it is tight to the bulkhead.

but up againts bulk head and build a cage and insulate it whist doing it

ive just fitted a 750 ltr in my swb transit i put it against bulk head and put in 2 floor anchorage points in the floor bolted through the floor with plate on underside then ratchet strap and put timber round the tank screwed to the floor its really solid not going anywhere

Mark am I right in thinking the diesel tanks is in that area if so how much clearance did you have for screwing it up to the floor (Timbers)

Darren before you drill through the van floor you need to decide how many holes you need to drill and then take measurements for where the holes will go.
Ideally you should be drilling through the chassis.
If you get underneath you will see where the fuel tank, fuel lines etc. are and plan it so you will be clear of them.

So is it ok to drill holes in the floor? Would you need to treat the holes in-case they rust?

hi sorry for the delay not been on here yes the diesel tank is in that area so be careful.
if you look under van at the side door there is a small square area where there is no chassis in the way i measured the distance and fitted it there if you want pictures let me know and i will email some to you
