I have allway been OK with 'wick back' on blood and it has never happened to me.

Custy rang yesterday, he is on asprin, bumped his head on a low beam in the middle of the night, blood all over the place!

Evidently he used persil bio to try and get it off, made a right mess of it. Where he put it down neat it has actually scorched the carpet, and has taken the dye out of it but luckily on a doorway section.

Called me out, I used cold water rinse initially, and then cleaned it with Prochem microsan and FF afterwards. I did tell him about wick back and there is now some so I am going back later in the week.

Come on team any ideas, I have looked through 'frequently asked' but nothing there.

Prob a lot still in the underlay,id take the carpet up and have a look.

There again i dont do blood jobs anymore

Try spraying some 'rust remover' on the blood, rinse out and then quick dry with hair dryier

If its in a doorway i would try ang get the carpet up. you normally find the stain on the carpet is about x6 the size on the underlay rust remover household ammonia and prochem stain pro all work well
I always use a water claw if i cant lift the carpet up dry fast with hair dryer or blower you could also place a plastic carrier bag in between carpet & underlay.

Clean as you have already done.

Apply stain absorbing powder to the damp carpet.

Powder will absorb any wick back. Client vacuums carpet the following day.

100% success rate to date. (As taught on Prochem course 12 years ago.)

Make up some Enzall in advance, allow it to cool then spray diectly onto the stain. Agitate, allow dwell time of 10 to 15 minutes and then extract with a cool rinse.

Jeez. must have been some bump on the head for all that blood to penetrate the carpet to the backing/underlay....poor chap!
I know aspirin thins the blood, but not to the extent of it gushing out of the body.
If possible lift the carpet and see what is going on underneath

Same message as Doctor Carpet.  Use rust remover, enzymes, multiple rinses etc. but end with Stain Absorb - never had a call back.

I like the one Bridgepoint do which has the consistency of flour and has no odour.

The Chemspec product works well but is more of a crystal and has a pongy perfume with it so customers often wonder what you are up to.

Thanks team, but he rang back yesterday to cancel the call back, seems its ok after all.

They are living in  a rental prop (ex pub) and will call me to do the final clean before hand over, so something extra after all.
