0800 number
« on: January 10, 2011, 11:33:55 am »
Does anybody use a freephone/0800 number diverted to your mobile???

A 7 year old answering my calls at home is starting to damage my already thin veneer of proffesionalism!!!!  :D

Any suggestions please. Ta

Thanks Blue Monkey. This missus doesn't want to miss calls for her, so hence asking the question about a seperate line.

Just wondered if it was cheaper to get a dedicated number for my business, via an 0800 option rather than diverting all our home incoming calls to my mobile

if you have sky broadband u usually have 2 numbers in your house,

phone bt and ask them how much it would be to set a line up in your house diverted to your mobile

I found for residential work 0800 numbers dont work (didnt work in my area). I got another line with my provider thats £2 a month - dedicated work number which i can divert to any number i want and take to phone abroad with me and still recieve calls at standard rate.

My advice would be to get a second line put in and divert the calls to your mobile (check you can change between mobile and landline as you please - some dont let you do this) That way you can divert to your mobile when your out and stick the phone at home on mute
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

you can get virtual local numbers diverted to your mobile with no additional landline needed all done via the web

www.ttnc.co.uk are good.  I use the territorial numbers. I have a 0800 withthem  but don't use it these days. People like to ring local numbers.
