Freezing Point of 40% Isopropyl

apperntly they use this in colder countries in pure water (and i would have thought trad water) to stop freezing down to as low as -20 c
can anyone enlighten me? this could well be our solution!

5L is aprox £7 if I remember right. The dilution needed would be less than cost effective.

so out of interest how much would it cost to freeze proof 100ltr of pure water?
