« on: November 27, 2010, 03:54:32 am »
Anyone know where i can buy a lead to power my pump from the 12v cigarette supply socket in the back of my van?
I only want to do this if my leisure battery dies.
Cheers for any help.

I found an old car vac in a skip, cut the cable off that. Works fine as a backup
if it is dirty it is fair game

u need to find out the amp of the pump   usually about 7-8 amp  so u need a bigger fuse, adn possible a bigger cable to handle the power,   i had one made by a spark and uses 17 amp speakers power cables,  i had to get it all soldered up to make it work properly, something to do with the earthing of it
