tds of snow

just for testing sakes i got a handfull of snow and put it into a bowl........when it melted the tds was 000.

me thinks there is way of you guys with hard water to use the snow to your advantage. 8)

i just retested it...it came out 007...strange....anyways 007 is still better than the tap water up here of 0027 and miles better than hard water areas........just wondering what method of storage you could use though.

Surely the tds of snow will be the same as the tds of rainwater ie 000 - 005?

I can't think of any reason that the 2 will be different?

jus like rain it all depends on which direction its come from ( and if anyone says "up"  ::)) industrial areas etc. I found there was a big diff in tds when I did last test. Maybe the flakes absorb/drag more dirt out of the atmoshere. Dont measure the yellow snow  :o

If you spot any yellow snow, grab it quick!! this is the best stuff to use wfp. best tds and refreshing if you have a mouth full of it  ;)

My tank is 650litres, I imagine if you fill that with snow, you would be lucky to have 10 litres of water  when its melted. Hope you all have really big storage tanks.
