commercial box type guttering
« on: November 21, 2010, 05:18:45 pm »
Hi all
I have just been out to have a look at a gutter cleaning job on a industrial unit
The gutters are about 4" deep and have a mass of grass and even a tree growing out of them

Has anyone had this type of job before and how did you over come the tree problem

I doubt you would get a tree out with a gutter vac because of the trees roots, Depending on how high the building is you could use a ladder / mobile tower or a cherry picker. It sounds like it needs removing though.

i had one like this the other week,  was pulling chunks of grass out, it was like some one had but a strips of a garden in there,  after 3 hours  sodded job off,  was taking for ever,   depending on height   its a ladder or lift job,   but could be worse than you think

Done a couple of these off a cherry picker.

If the roof has a guard rail, you could get up and strap on to that.
