just bought a 2nd hand host freestyle and would like to get it serviced but host in cheshire say they are the only ones who can do it. they quoted £150 - £160 for the service plus vat and £30 carriage. when i asked what a service entails he said he would check both sets of brushes in the vac pod and the brush motor and change the bearings and the armiture. he reckons 2 1/2 - 3 hrs labour which seems a long time to me. they say i can buy the bearings for about £8 each . just thinking i can get my van serviced for less than that so does anyone know of a place in south wales that might be able to do the service .
