smashed glass

i was cleaning a window yesterday with my hot water when  the window exploded i think it had a small crack in it i just wondered if anyone else has had this problem ,as it is getting colder now could this be a issue?

Wouldn't surprise me if it was putting hot water onto cold glass the sudden change in temp could easily cause this I reckon.

I dont use a hot system but it makes sense not to have the water too hot. Maybe warm? Then you wouldnt have a problem with glass shattering.
The pen is mightier than the sword (and a lot easier to write with!)

he meant cleaning with HOT soapy water in his bucket NOT wfp with a hot system!!he just about scraped together 500quid for a van!! ;D ;D ;D
